WWE Rumors: These Three New Matches For ‘SummerSlam’ To Be Confirmed After ‘SmackDown’ Tomorrow – Other Rumored Matches

With less than three weeks to go until WWE SummerSlam, it appears as if there will finally – and officially – be more than one match on the four-hour event. After Monday Night Raw, no new matches were announced, but it appears that a WWE Title match is just about in place. After the SmackDown taping last night for a Thursday airing, two more matches are going to be officially added to the card.

First of all, it looks like the tag match between The Wyatt Family and Roman Reigns pairing with Dean Ambrose will stay a four-person affair. After tons of rumors that a third Wyatt Family member would be added while Reigns and Ambrose found a partner to even things out, it appears a normal tag is in the cards.

Guess the Wyatts won’t have to be looking over their shoulders for Sting unless WWE decides to have him get involved in the match to start a feud with Wyatt.

According to the SmackDown spoilers, Reigns faces off with Rusev in the main event which will air on Thursday night, and he picks up a big win. Earlier though, Reigns cuts a promo on Bray Wyatt and talks about good and all that stuff.

According to WrestleZone, another match that has been rumored will now be confirmed after Thursday night’s SmackDown.

It looks as if Ryback is going to be healthy enough after a staph infection has kept him out for close to a month now. He will defend the Intercontinental Title in a triple threat match against Big Show and The Miz.

That is the exact same match that was set to take place at WWE Battleground, but ended up being called off due to the champ’s injury.

WrestleZone has the “Winner Takes All” match between Seth Rollins and John Cena confirmed for SummerSlam as well. WWE hasn’t officially confirmed it, but after Rollins’ promo on Raw, the match is virtually set in stone for the WWE Title and U.S. Title.

So, with these three matches, the card for SummerSlam will stand at four matches once the week is over. Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker has been set for weeks now, and it will most likely be the main event of the night.

Other rumored matches:

  • Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro
  • Divas Match – Triple Threat 9-Women Tag or Triple Threat Divas Title
  • Dolph Ziggler & Lana vs. Rusev & Summer Rae
  • WWE Tag Title Match: PTP vs. The New Day vs. Los Matadores vs. Lucha Dragons
  • Stephen Amell (Arrow) vs. Stardust or Neville (Amell in his corner) vs. Stardust

With WWE SummerSlam being four hours this year, there will likely be 8 to 10 matches instead of the normal seven on other PPVs. Finally, a few more matches are about to be confirmed and the card looks to be about halfway complete after SmackDown.
