Katy Perry Follows ‘Sl***y’ Taylor Swift Instagram Account, Plus Their ‘Bad Blood’ Feud Explained

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry’s “Bad Blood” feud is not going away anytime soon. Katy took their alleged feud to a whole new level when it was revealed that she started following the “Sl***y Taylor Swift” Instagram account on Wednesday, Aug. 5.

According to a previous report via BuzzFeed, the “Roar Singer started following her new friend Dinah Rankin, who’s the person behind the username “sl***ytaylorswift.” Don’t get your hopes up yet, though. It doesn’t appear to be a parody account of the famous Taylor Swift.

In fact there, are no photos of Swift on Rankin’s account. The Instagram account shows photos of the user taking selfies, modeling, and enjoying her life. However, Rankin’s profile photo features Swift’s face on an old painting, according to a report via SugarScape. In addition, the alleged fashion icon shared a photo of Left Shark from Perry’s Super Bowl Halftime performance on Feb. 2.

It looks like Dinah is more of a Katy Perry fan rather than a Taylor Swift fan. Now, it looks like the Prismatic singer is returning the favor just by simply following the user.

Taylor finally addressed her alleged feud with Katy during her interview with Vanity Fair. Although she didn’t mention the “Roar” singer’s name, she did express why she was so hurt over their torn friendship.

“If you betray your friend, if you will talk about them badly behind their back, if you will try to humiliate them or talk down to them. I have no interest in having a person like that in my life.”

Perry and Swift’s alleged feud was started over backup dancers, not John Mayer, as she insisted during her 2014 interview with Rolling Stone.

“She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

That very moment inspired Taylor to write the song “Bad Blood.” In addition, she enlisted almost 17 of her friends to be featured in a music video about their feud.

Katy also never was one to speak out about their alleged feud, except for a few cryptic tweets here and there. During her own interview with Billboard, Katy said that she’s willing to take down any person who wants to take her down.

“If somebody is trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it.”

The pop star also addressed how “ironic” for Swift to accuse Nicki Minaj of pitting women against women when she wrote “Bad Blood” about their feud.

It was previously rumored that Swift continued their “Bad Blood” feud by bringing out a puppet shark during her 1989 World Tour. That caused fans to believe that she was dissing Katy Perry’s iconic Left Shark.
