Police: Lindsay Lohan Didn’t Run Over Club Manager

Los Angeles, CA — Lindsay Lohan is in the clear. Prosecutors have said that there is a lack of evidence and questions about a night club owner’s credibility. Lohan was accused of striking the manager with her sports car.

Police had asked the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to investigate whether the evidence warranted an indictment for leaving the scene of an accident. Police interviewed the manager, reviewed surveillance footage and looked at Lohan’s Porsche. They found zero evidence that an accident had occurred.

The Manager of the Hookah Lounge in Hollywood, an upscale smoking lounge, accused Lohan of hitting him with her Porsche on March 14. The manager,Thaer Kamal, made the accusation two weeks before Lohan’s probation ended. Police reports stated that Kamal said Lohan grazed his right leg. He refused any form of medical treatment.

Kamal refused to cooperate in the investigation for two whole weeks. Two weeks after the incident he showed up at the police station with a limp and a photograph of what he said was where Lohan had struck him on his left knee.

Deputy District Attorney John Gilligan wrote in his report,

“There is no direct evidence to show Lindsay Lohan or anyone else struck victim Kamal. Victim Kamal’s changed story and lack of cooperation with law enforcement make him a non-credible witness.”

Kamal has been represented by attorney Mark Geragos. Neither Kamal nor Geragos returned calls from the Huffington Post

Lohan’s publicist also declined to comment.

Lindsay Lohan is currently on probation for stealing a necklace two years ago in Hollywood. She is in the process of reviving her career. She has recently been cast to play Elizabeth Taylor in a made for TV movie.
