Bethenny Frankel’s Divorce Book Not Selling Well: Could Fans Be Bored With Book?
Bethenny Frankel is known for her personality and her attitude from The Real Housewives of New York. So, whenever Frankel releases a new book or comes back on a show, fans expect to see this personality. However, Bethenny doesn’t always give her fans what they expect from her. No one saw a children’s book or a cocktail book come from Frankel, as she had been writing about losing weight and living a healthy life. But Bethenny likes to surprise.
Bethenny Frankel tends to write about what is happening in her life, so when she filed for divorce from Jason Hoppy, she started writing her relationship book, I Suck At Relationships So You Don’t Have To. And while fans rushed to the bookstore to get a copy in hopes of learning what went wrong between Bethenny and Jason, they were sorely disappointed. Frankel didn’t open up too much about her marriage.
According to a new Radar Online report, Bethenny Frankel‘s newest book isn’t doing as well with fans as she may have hoped. Apparently, her book has sold a mere 6,000 copies since its April release, reps for Nielsen Bookscan has revealed. That does sound like an oddly low number, considering the book was indeed a New York Times Bestseller for a period of time in May.
“Guess what? #iSuckAtRelationships is officially a @nytimes best seller all thanks to YOU! xo,” Bethenny revealed back in May on Twitter when she learned of the news.
Even though Frankel can still celebrate that her book made it onto the bestsellers list, her fans were not thrilled with this new book. Apparently, many of her fans missed that spitfire personality she is known for on The Real Housewives of New York. Words such as “boring” and “predictable” have been used to describe the book on Amazon.
“I was disappointed to find her book full of generic stereotypes backed up by nondescript stories,” one reader wrote, while another added, “None of her personality, which after all, is her cachet, is present in this book.”
But Bethenny Frankel is giving her all on The Real Housewives of New York this season. According to the Inquisitr, Frankel has been back at it with Ramona Singer. The two have been feuding a bit years ago, and these days, they are picking up right where they left off. Frankel recently called Ramona painfully awkward.
Even if Bethenny’s book sales were struggling, the mother has nothing to worry about. She scored a high paycheck for coming back on the Bravo show and she has millions in the bank from her prenup agreement, which won’t be affected by the divorce.
