Dead Island ‘Game of the Year’ Edition Could Be Coming Soon

If you still haven’t taken a trip to the zombie-infested island that is Dead Island, developer Deep Silver may be working on something that will get you the game and all of its DLC on the cheap.

According to a retail listing from the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification), picked up on by Siliconera, a Dead Island ‘Game of the Year’ edition is in the works. Nothing is certain at this point, but it’s assumed that Dead Island ‘Game of the Year’ edition will include all DLC, or at least most of it. If it is on the way, Siliconera says that it’s likely to arrive around June 30.

If Dead Island‘s ‘Game of the Year’ edition does include the DLC, gamers can expect to get the Rhyder White and the Bloodbath Arena DLCs, and perhaps a little something extra. In case you’re not familiar with either DLC, Rhyder White, the most recent of the two, adds on to the main game’s story, focusing on the game’s antagonist.

Bloodbath Arena, on the other hand, is all about the arena combat. The DLC adds in four new arenas in which you can dispatch the undead to your heart’s content. To sweeten up the zombie-killing fun, the loot and XP you earn can be carried over to your character from the main campaign.

Have you tried Dead Island yet? If not, would you be interested in it if a Game of the Year edition were to come out?
