Young Thug Album Pushed Back A Month: ‘All Songs Are Perfection’

With all the calamities that Young Thug has faced recently, it’s no surprise that his new album, which was originally scheduled to be released at the end of this month, has now been scheduled to debut at the end of September. According to Thugger, it’s not his personal and legal problems that are the hold up — he instead wants to add a few new tracks to the album, according to Uproxx.

“It’s launching September 24th, but I don’t know I might take it back because I got a couple new songs that I may want to play for the label… all the songs are perfection.”

Citing his “rough summer,” Urban Daily is reporting the same delay. Young Thug has been involved in two major legal troubles — one when he threatened to shoot a mall security officer, and was released on bond, only to have his home raided and be charged with drug possession and paraphernalia. Allegedly police discovered cocaine and marijuana. Thug doesn’t attempt to hide his use of marijuana, but with formal charges pending, may choose to tone it down a bit. In fact, he didn’t even appear at the preliminary hearing, as previously reported by the Inquisitr last week.

That’s not his most serious legal allegation, however. An indictment against him and Birdman state that they allegedly were involved in a plot to kill Lil Wayne last April. His tour bus was shot multiple times. Nobody was injured, but some type of intel is leading police to believe Thugger and his mentor may be involved.

And the rumors swirling don’t stop there — it was recently speculated that Young Thug is gay, but that may be due to some misheard lyrics and the fact that he favors skirts and nail polish. Regardless, he’s made quite a name for himself on the rap scene of late but has no fewer fans as a result. In fact, his fan base appears to be ever growing.

His new album, Hy!£UN35, is the follow-up release to his botched project Barter 6, according to Music Times. While he has already released his track “Pacifier” with fairly decent reviews, the rest of the album remains to be seen. One thing is for sure — he isn’t easily dissuaded from pursuing his musical inclinations and seems unfazed my recent legal developments that could theoretically cost him jail time. While Young Thug denies his involvement with Lil Wayne’s murder plot, the evidence against him in the mall security guard assault seems fairly cut and dried. Whether his new album is released even in September may depend on many of these factors.
