Candace Cameron Bure Plot: ‘Fuller House’ Plot Follows Widowed DJ Tanner, Mother Of Three

Candace Cameron Bure talked about the plot of Fuller House, giving Full House fans an idea of what they can expect from the show’s reboot. According to Entertainment Tonight, the show,- which has been picked up by Netflix, will revolve around the life of DJ Tanner, who is a widowed mom of three; not unlike her dad, Danny Tanner (played by actor Bob Saget).

“It is tragedy that starts off the show, which was like the original Full House, but the themes are always heartfelt. It’s always a situation you can always learn something from. Tonally, it will feel the same as the original Full House, which is heartfelt and funny and family friendly, but it’s current. It’s today’s time,” Bure explained.

Candace Cameron Bure’s plot explanation is getting fans super excited because it sounds like the show is going to be very similar to Full House. The major difference being that the Tanner girls are all grown up. As for the show’s title, it has a couple of different meanings. Naturally it’s a play on the original show’s title, but it also gets its name from DJ’s surname, which is Fuller.

So how much will fans learn about DJ Tanner-Fuller’s late husband?

“You’ll learn little bits about him throughout the show, just like you did on the original Full House [with Danny’s wife]. Whether they’ll have flashback scenes or anything like that, I have no idea, but we talk about him because you have to. When that happens and you have children, it’s something you have to discuss and discuss those emotions and the healing from it and how to move on,” Bure said.

According to Fox News, Candace Cameron Bure isn’t the only important cast member. She will joined by several of your Full House favorites including Joey (Dave Coulier), Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin), Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), Steph Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), and Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). There have been rumors that others (like Mary Kate and Ashley Olson) will at least make guest appearances during the show’s 13-episode first season.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, most fans are beyond thrilled to see Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky together again. The actors have always remained close, but there really was something special about them on screen. They will undoubtedly be able to bring that back on Fuller House, don’t you think?
