Salma Hayek Blasts Donald Trump, Praises Fat, And Reveals Her Favorite Beauty Tonic

Salma Hayek is treating Donald Trump like Lord Voldemort, so the billionaire businessman better get busy trying to channel Beyonce — maybe he can sweet-talk Salma into muttering his moniker by belting out Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name.”

During a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Salma Hayek shared her thoughts on Donald Trump’s comments about illegal immigrants. According to Hayek, she doesn’t find his words insulting because she “cannot be insulted by stupidity.” The “stupidity” she’s referring to is Trump’s claim that illegal immigrants are “rapists” who are bringing drugs and crime to America.

“Everybody’s entitled to be dumb. But I’m not dumb, so I see through the manipulation,” Hayek said. The Mexico-born actress stated that she realizes that Trump’s comments are “a very simple tactic for self-promotion,” and she hopes that educated Americans “wake up” and start voting so that they keep men like the Donald out of political office.

Salma Hayek also talked Trump during an interview with E! News, but she was reluctant to unintentionally aid the GOP presidential hopeful by drawing more attention to his desperate attempts to dominate the headlines.

“I don’t say his name because I don’t want to give him extra publicity,” Salma Hayek said. Unfortunately, refusing to say the Donald’s name isn’t enough to keep it from scoring more mentions in the media. Salma is trying to promote her new animated film, Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet, but it seems like all anyone can talk about is her response to Trump’s comments about illegal immigrants.

Luckily, Salma sees a silver lining in all the attention that the former host of The Apprentice is getting. The actress pointed out that racism is a bigger problem in America than most people realize, and she’s happy that the Donald “brought a light to a real problem.”

While Salma Hayek thinks that Americans should be very afraid of Donald Trump, she doesn’t believe that they should be frightened of fat. However, she’s not encouraging Americans to fight for their right to eat trans fat — she’s advocating for the consumption of healthy fats and fat-like substances.

“I embrace fat, the good fat,” Hayek said while talking to EXTRA about her best beauty secrets. “This is very important, and I make a bone broth that you can look up on the internet. It’s very good for all your health and it’s full of collagen, when you drink it, it’s like fat… I think people are afraid of fat, and fat is your friend.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Divergent actress Shailene Woodley is also a fan of drinking bone broth. The drink has become New York City’s newest “It” food, and those who swear by the stuff claim that it can improve the appearance of hair, skin, and nails. If the hair thing is true, perhaps Trump should beg Hayek to share her recipe with him.

According to the New York Times, the soupy drink is popular with proponents of the Paleo diet. It may seem like a cost-effective beauty tonic because it can be made using the leftover bits of cooked critters that usually end up in the trash, but if you want it to be palatable, you have to add a few extra ingredients. Most recipes call for beef bones to be boiled with apple cider vinegar, vegetables, tomatoes, and spices. Bone broth also has to simmer for a few hours before it’s ready to eat.

If you’re not sure that bone broth is worth the trouble, just keep this in mind: 48-year-old Salma says that she’s never used Botox.

Do you agree with Salma Hayek’s comments about Donald Trump, and will you be trying out her special beauty broth?
