Henry Cavill Afraid Of Flying?–Actor Talks About Dog, Kal-El, Fame & How Life Has Changed

Henry Cavill may portray the Man of Steel, the strongest to ever walk on Earth, but he has a very real and common fear. He’s afraid of flying, which is really inconvenient considering his acting career takes him all over the globe very often.
As he prepares to debut as the very “suave, cool” American spy, Napoleon Solo, in Guy Ritchie’s reboot, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. — opposite Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger) — Henry Cavill is making the rounds in many press junkets. It’s interesting to hear the handsome Brit talk about his fear of flying, but how does he deal with it with his busy life?
We have seen photos of Cavill and his dog, Kal-El, named after Superman’s Krptonian name, walking around Chicago and accompanying him on transatlantic flights and while he works on location. The Batman v Superman star adopted the Akita pup last year with then-girlfriend Gina Carano.
“You know once you are on a plane you are on a plane there is nothing about it is just nice to have your dog there with you.”
During the interview with Good Morning Britain, Henry Cavill admits that life has changed because of his increased notoriety and he can’t go out like he used to. Even when he returned home to Jersey to promote the Durrell Wildlife Trust and after he made an appearance at the Siam Cup, things were different.
“I remember going for a drink afterwards, and there just being a crowd of people right behind me. And I thought, wow! It’s not quite like it used to be.”
“Hollywood is an entity. It’s a thing which spans across the world. I’ve experienced it now certainly on a larger scale and it has been very interesting very informative. Life has definitely changed, now I can’t go to the shops.”
Henry says he misses going shopping anonymously and in any given day we see proof that he is becoming a big star, when we see photos with fans as he walks Kal-El down the street while running errands.
In his new role for The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Henry Cavill is not afraid to look good and he admits that he loves to dress up.
“I love a suit, if i have a chance to wear one I will.” the 32-year-old heart-throb says.
Currently, Henry Cavill is in London getting ready for the The Man From U.N.C.L.E. premiere and was recently spotted at director Guy Ritchie’s wedding meeting football star David Beckham, who has a cameo in the film and Cavill regretted not meeting during the production.
