‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Stars Chandra Wilson And Sarah Drew Dish Season 12

Chandra Wilson, who plays Dr. Miranda Bailey, and Sarah Drew, who plays Dr. April Kepner, are dishing about Grey’s Anatomy season 12, promising surprises for viewers. Both actors say that viewers should stay tuned, because Grey’s Anatomy will do more than just survive without Patrick Dempsey’s “McDreamy.”

As reported in the Inquisitr, much of the cast has taken to social media to hint at things to come for the season, like “Sledgehammer” as the name for the first episode, which was leaked as a photo on the call sheet for the first episode.

Chandra Wilson is now promising more “classic Miranda Bailey” for season 12, as her character tries to capture the position of chief of surgery for herself.

“[You’ll see] some self-confidence that you haven’t seen in a while from her coming out. This is a really important step for her, just as important as getting on the board,” Wilson continues. “I think being the chief is kind of the pinnacle of her career.”

In the beginning of Grey’s Anatomy, Dr. Miranda Bailey was famous for throwing her weight around to get what she wanted. After having a baby, and getting a divorce, the character has finally found her feet again, and once again wants to take on the world. But who does Dr. Bailey have in her line of fire?

“It looks like from what I’m reading in the next script, she’s across the board giving people a hard time,” she says. “That’s why I’m saying it’s some classic Bailey about to come out.”

Sarah Drew also has some thoughts about season 12. She is trying to convince fans that Grey’s Anatomy can survive the death of Dr. Derek Shepherd, who had been with the show since the beginning.

“He’s like the sixth person that’s left the show since I’ve been on, and I’ve only been on for six years!” she laughed. “We lost Chyler Leigh, Eric Dane, Kim Raver, Sandra Oh… all just in the time that I’ve been there. “He obviously leaves a hole in Meredith’s heart in a pretty tremendous way, and also a hole in the hearts of the fans, as does everybody who comes and goes on the show,” she said. “But we will survive, and we will continue.”

Both ladies believe that one bright light will be the addition of Martin Henderson as Grey’s Anatomy’s new staff doc.
