Jennifer Aniston’s Beau Justin Theroux Returning To TV This Fall Amidst More Relationship Trouble Rumors

Amid reports of difficulties in their relationship and dug-up dirt from the past involving Jen and Friends costar Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston and fiance Justin Theroux are blazing ahead with their plans to wed and are both keeping their focus on love and success of their film and television careers.

Good news has come for Theroux seeing as the second season of HBO’s The Leftovers, within which the actor stars, has got a set premiere date. Sunday, October 4, will be the day that the series, which Design & Trend reminds was created by “Lost mastermind Damon Lindelof,” will return. The publication additionally notes that the first season of the Aniston’s beau’s show received a mixed bag when it came to reviews and only earned a rating of 65 percent on MetaCritic. The synopsis provided by D&T and describing the series in a nutshell is enough to peak the interest of the sci-fi enthusiast nonetheless.

“The series takes place in a suburban town three years after 2 percent of the world’s population disappeared, with no explanation, into thin air. Jennifer Aniston’s fiancé Justin Theroux stars as the town’s police chief.”

In an interview with Elle, which involved speaking about his character on the HBO series, Justin admitted that the show is somewhat of a “gut punch.” Read what else Jen’s soon-to-be-hubby shared of the series during his chat.

“I’m not comparing [the show] to genuinely tragic events, but throughout our lives, someone will leave. There’s usually an explanation for it, but the way that people are affected is deep. Grief is deep. Everyone mourns or panics in a different way, and the show is like a pinball machine of dysfunction. It’s a sad show to make, but it’s punctuated-I should say perforated-with little bursts of light, which I think are essential.”

After offering such an eloquent and pertinent reflection, it’s no wonder that Jennifer Aniston is so smitten with Theroux. Both Jen and Justin have taken on the lead role in various productions of film and television. Although Theroux is the lead within The Leftovers, he prefers to refer to himself as a “character actor,” noting reasons for this preference to the Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s valuable for any actor to always think of himself as a character actor. The minute you start trying to assume a ‘leading man’ or ‘leading woman’ role, your sandbox starts to shrink and you start to get into the confines of a really strange space. We’ve all seen it happen — it creates this terrible gravity where the material starts to play to the actor’s comfort zone and eventually you’re painting inside the lines to maintain whatever perception or awards [pedigree] you’ve built up.”

Though Jen and Justin each experience wonderful success in their acting careers, Theroux admits that if it so happens that The Leftovers is cancelled he would likely return to writing. Justin’s notable contributions to screenplay writing involve Ironman 2 as well as Zoolander along with others.
