Plane Crashes Into Car Dealership, 4 Confirmed Dead [Video]

A private jet crashed in the middle of a car dealership in Hampshire, England. Four are confirmed dead in the plane crash.

Little is known about the cause of the plane crash or who the three passengers and pilot were, but it was confirmed that all four individuals on board have died due to the nature of the crash. Videos and social media posts quickly arrived on the internet showing the billowing black smoke rising from the deep red flames that told the location of the crash. The airplane was believed to be a Learjet, according to Metro U.K., and is thought to have overshot the nearby runway at Blackbushe Airport. Other media outlets are reporting that the plane was a Phenom 300 jet.

Horrified onlookers watched intently as fire crews rushed to extinguish the flames and preserve what was left of the aircraft. The constabulary of Hampshire confirmed that there were no survivors in the wreckage, according to the BBC.

Eyewitnesses claim that the plane appeared to have clipped a fence as it overshot the runway as it attempted to land at Blackbushe airport.

Andrew Thomas was paying for his car when the plane crashed, he reported that the plane nosedived into the car dealership and erupted into a ball of flame.

“I saw it when it had just happened, and could see the plane and cars in flames. The plane nosedived into the cars and exploded on impact. I have heard from from staff here that four people were on the plane.”

A worker at the car dealership stated that the plane crash sounded like a missile was dropped, followed by the explosion. Robert Belcher was driving past the airport on his way home from work and witnessed the crash.

“I could see the plume of smoke waving from about five miles away and was hoping it was just a car fire rather than an aircraft accident. Apparently the aircraft was landing and just didn’t stop. At the end of the runway there is a car park, because the airport is used for car auctions, and it’s gone into there.”

The official cause of the crash is currently under investigation as the pieces of the plane are collected and examined. At this time there is no record of a distress call from the pilot or information pointing to mechanical or human failure.
