Victoria Siegel Autopsy Released: ‘Queen Of Versailles’ Star Died From Overdose

Victoria Siegel’s autopsy has now been released, and the results revealed that the teen daughter of Jackie and David Siegel died from an accidental overdose. According to AOL News, the star of Queen of Versailles had 26 times the suggested amount of both methadone and sertraline in her system.

Victoria died on June 6, and Joshua Stephany, interim chief medical examiner at the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner’s Office, performed the autopsy on June 7. According to the Hollywood Gossip, his report, which was formally released on Wednesday, revealed, “The death of Victoria Siegel, an 18-year-old white female found unresponsive in her residence and subsequently transported to the hospital, is the result of methadone and sertraline toxicity. The manner of death is accident.”

With the high amounts of both drugs in her system, Stephany revealed, “each of those levels by themselves could have been fatal.”

Victoria’s parents, Jackie and David Siegel, have now opened up about the death of their daughter to the media. On Thursday, Inside Edition shared a sit down interview with the couple, and they spoke about losing Victoria.

Jackie spoke about their home and the impact their daughter’s loss has had on it.

“It’s the most horrible thing I have ever experienced, and I personally have not stepped foot inside the house since Victoria died. I haven’t been back to the house. One of the bedrooms was going to be her’s and I haven’t been back there.”

Since Victoria’s death, her family has started The Victoria Siegel Foundation. The goal of the organization is to help teens that are dealing with addiction issues. A statement released by the family representative after Victoria’s death revealed that “long struggled with an addiction to prescription drugs that she initially began taking for a seizure condition.” In the month before her death, she had completed a rehab program.

According to People Magazine, Jackie spoke about the organization and the reasons behind it.

“By doing this, it’s given us some strength, knowing that we’re going to save other lives and that Victoria didn’t die in vain. That maybe death has a greater purpose.”

David Siegel also shared about his daughter’s death. He now wants to help other teens dealing with addiction.

“One hundred percent of my focus right now is on saving lives. Not on business, not on houses, not on reality shows. I want my daughter’s legacy to be that thousands of lives will be saved because she lost hers. That’s what’s keeping us sane. We could have crawled into bed, pulled the covers over our head and been a basket case, but instead we embarked on this journey to help other people, to save other families from going through what we’ve gone through.”

Victoria’s death was a shock to her family. After her funeral on June 9, Jackie came under fire for snapping photos of her daughter’s casket at the funeral. Jackie spoke up about the controversy, and she defended her actions.

“It was just so traumatic. I was almost like a zombie. I didn’t know if it was real or fake. One minute I’m crying uncontrollably, the next minute I’m just numb. And I’m trying to be strong for the kids, but I wanted to remember every last precious moment of my daughter before she’s down in the ground and going to be dirt. So I don’t see anything wrong with taking a couple pictures.”

After her death, TMZ reported that Victoria Siegel was the victim of cyberbullying. On the day of her death, Victoria had received harassing and hurtful messages via phone and social media. Her death was accidental, but her upset over those messages could have led to her taking too much of her medication.

A previous Inquisitr article reported that, “The ex-girlfriend of Victoria’s boyfriend used his phone to send cruel and hateful text messages using the boyfriend’s phone. These messages were sent early on the morning of Victoria’s death. These messages were clearly intended to hurt Victoria and while we cannot be sure may have affected her emotional state at a time when she was emotionally vulnerable.”

Victoria was only 18 at the time of her death. Her family revealed they were getting ready for a family trip that week.
