Swine Flu Case Confirmed at Ernst and Young

A case of swine flu has now been confirmed within the offices of Ernst and Young, the major accounting firm based in New York City’s Times Square. The company notified employees on Monday.

Ernst and Young Swine Flu

The Ernst and Young swine flu case was announced via company-wide e-mail, according to media reports.

“A staff member at 5 Times Square became ill Sunday after contact with a family member who had been exposed to the virus. She has now been treated, is resting at home and is doing well,” the message read.

The infected Ernst and Young employee had not been into the office since last Thursday, company officials indicate. The firm has closed areas of the building for cleaning as a precaution and has also notified all workers who may have been in contact with the swine flu patient.

Ernst and Young employees are also being given the opportunity to work from home until concern subsides.
