Tom Cruise Banned Questions: Actor Banned Dating, Scientology Questions During Press Events

Tom Cruise banned questions about Scientology and about his dating life while promoting Mission: ImpossibleRogue Nation. According to Yahoo! Finance, the actor has made it quite clear that he will not be answering questions about his religious beliefs or his love life while doing press for the film.

“Cruise’s camp has banned any personal life questions or mention of ‘Going Clear’ in his interviews,” reports Yahoo! Finance. Evidently, Cruise wants to keep the focus on his new film, and doesn’t feel as though any of these personal questions are necessary.

News that Tom Cruise banned questions from the press has not been confirmed by his reps, but it certainly sounds like something Cruise would do. According to Cinema Blend, the 53-year-old actor was expecting some personal questions to arise while doing this press tour, so he and his PR team decided to nip things in the bud. Reportedly, every outlet has been told that they can’t ask Cruise anything personal, and that they should focus on Mission: Impossible per his request.

“The news of this ban comes after Cruise’s appearance on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show where the host appeared to be holding back on his usual questioning style. Stewart, known for addressing the heavier topics when it comes to his interviews instead discussed the Edge of Tomorrow actor’s workout routines and full head of hair.”

The Tom Cruise banned questions come after both Going Clear (a documentary on Scientology) aired, and after several rumors about Cruise’s dating life surfaced. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there is some chatter floating around the web that Cruise has been dating his assistant — a woman who is half his age. Emily Thomas, 22, has reportedly formed a bond with the actor while working closely with him on Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.

“Over the last few months, it’s been alleged that the pair have grown closer and closer, to the point that they’re now being romantically linked,” reported the Inquisitr.

Tom Cruise hasn’t seriously dated anyone since his split from Katie Holmes back in 2012. Some say that Emily has been “approved” by the Church Of Scientology, and that Tom Cruise is so in love with her that he is ready to propose. There have also been a good amount of reports debunking these rumors. Either way, one thing is for certain: Tom won’t be talking about Emily — or any other woman — during his Mission: Impossible press tour.
