‘Chicago Fire’ Season 4 Spoilers: New Faces, New Romances, And More Teased

Chicago Fire fans have to wait until October 13 for the premiere of Season 4 on NBC, but there are some spoilers to help ease the wait. In recent days, there has been a lot of casting news released for Chicago Fire Season 4.

There are two new male faces joining the cast this season. Entertainment Weekly reported recently that Steven R. McQueen from The Vampire Diaries was joining the cast as the new candidate. McQueen left Vampire Diaries earlier this season, but he returned for the Season 6 finale to help send off Nina Dobrev.

McQueen’s character is named Jimmy Borelli, and he will make a “dramatic entrance on the first day of work that doesn’t sit well with Chief Boden. And if it doesn’t sit well with Boden, well, it doesn’t sit well with anyone.”

In addition to McQueen, Deadline reported that Brian White, who appeared on Scandal on ABC during Season 4, will join the series as the new man in charge of the squad, Captain Dallas Patterson. Nothing else was revealed about his character.

With two men joining the cast, there needed to be another woman around the Firehouse 51 permanently. Dora Madison joined the series at the end of Chicago Fire Season 3 as Jessica Chilton, otherwise known as “Chili.” Fans will see more of her character during Season 4. She has been bumped up to regular cast status for the season ahead.

Will she find romance on the series?

TV Line did share some spoilers about the upcoming season after the Chicago Fire Season 3 finale aired, and the writers did tease that they were looking for a more solid romance for Severide, who is played by Taylor Kinney.

“Severide’s brief flirtation with Med doc April may have flamed out, but the fireman’s love life won’t be cooling off. Quite the opposite, actually. ‘There’s going to probably be an in-house romance for him,’ executive producer Matt Olmstead reveals. ‘We want to give him something a little more substantial. A real love interest.'”

There are only three women at the firehouse. Dawson is on and off with Casey. Brett hooked up with Roman in the finale, and that romance will continue, according to a previous Inquisitr report. That leaves Chili. Do you see a romance between her and Severide working? Or will another woman join the action in the house at some point this season.

The cast is now back in Chicago filming new episodes. What do you think? Are you excited for the return of Chicago Fire?
