Bobbi Kristina’s Funeral Plans A Mess: Nick Gordon Spotted Wearing Bobbi Kristina’s Engagement Ring Around His Neck [Video]
As expected, Bobbi Kristina’s funeral arrangements are turning into a mess, with the two families fighting, but one thing is for sure: Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s fiancé, will not be invited. Bobbi Kristina’s family still asserts Gordon is the reason Bobbi Kristina was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub last January, and is seeking justice.
Brown’s boyfriend hasn’t issued a statement since it was reported that Bobbi Kristina was dead, and it’s not known whether he will try to attend the funeral. Nick is reportedly mourning Bobbi Kristina after finding out about her death online. He was spotted leaving his Florida home on July 27, requiring the support of his mother, according to Us Weekly, and was wearing Bobbi Kristina’s engagement ring around his neck.

Although funeral arrangements have yet to be solidified, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, the families have at least agreed that Bobbi Kristina will be buried next to Whitney Houston in New Jersey, and the funeral, which will be held in Atlanta, is scheduled for Saturday. Nick Gordon will not be invited to the funeral, according to Extra.
“The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family,” his mother, Michelle, said in a statement to Us Weekly on July 27. “Nick loved and cared for [Bobbi Kristina] deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart…Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time.” Michelle didn’t mention whether her son will try to attend the funeral.

Although Bobbi Kristina’s funeral will be held on Saturday, the criminal investigation into her death is ongoing, reports Us Weekly, and it’s rumored the District Attorney is pushing for charges against Nick. In addition to the criminal charges, Bobbi Kristina’s family is pursing legal action against Gordon. Last month, the family filed suit for $10 million by Bobbi Kristina Brown’s conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, on her behalf.
The suit alleges that Nick assaulted Bobbi Kristina hours before she was found unresponsive in her bathtub on January 31. Bobbi Kristina’s family also believes her boyfriend withdrew funds from her bank account without her permission.
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral will be privately held, according to Entertainment Tonight, and the young woman’s family has “absolutely no plans on broadcasting the funeral. Just like the deathbed photo that has been shopped around, they don’t want to have anyone financially gain from her loss. The family doesn’t want anyone to make money from this tragedy and make this more of a spectacle than it already has become.”
