Tamra Judge Was Suicidal During Custody Battle With Simon Barney?

Tamra Judge and her ex-husband, Simon Barney, endured a drawn-out custody battle years after their split, and during the messy legal battle, the Real Housewives of Orange County star reportedly experienced suicidal thoughts.

According to a July 29 report by Radar Online, Tamra Judge recently spoke to In Touch Weekly, admitting she lost the will to live while fighting for custody of her three children.

“I got very depressed. There were times where I didn’t want to wake up and live.”

During the battle, Tamra Judge, who has since married Eddie Judge, relinquished custody of her 16-year-old daughter, Sidney, who chose to live with her father full-time.

“I was in the lowest place I’d ever been in my life. As a family, we started to go to church to help with the pain. My original plan was not to do it on camera, but after talking to my pastor, he told me that it could be very helpful for other people.”

Although Tamra Judge was limited to what she could say about her battle with Barney while they were in the midst of the case, she has since opened up about the issue on the show and in a number of interviews. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Tamra Judge spoke about the outcome of her and Barney’s court case in February of this year. At the time, Tamra Judge revealed the following to All Things Real Housewives:

“Simon and I came to terms outside of court. We both want what’s best for our daughter, her happiness is what matters most. Sidney’s wish was to have her main residence at her dad’s. She is 16 and can chose where she wants to live. There was no loss in court for me, the judge threw out the original case.”

Despite rumors online claiming Tamra Judge was a monster mom, and had failed to tend to basic parenting duties, including cleaning her children and taking them to the doctor, Judge was never proven to be unfit, and the custody of her two youngest children was divided between her and Barney.

Also speaking to All Things Real Housewives, Tamra Judge said her family was “in a good place,” and the love of both parents continued to be an issue she encouraged in all of her children.
