The MLS All-Star team faces last season’s fifth-place Barclays Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, and fans can watch the 2015 MLS All-Star Game live online to see not only top Major League Soccer stars including Clint Dempsey, Kaka and David Villa, but fans will also get their first close-up look at England’s most exciting young striker, 22-year-old Harry Kane.
In a year when Spurs struggled in England’s top league, Kane — who grew up a Tottenham fan in North London — almost single-handedly kept the team in the race for a UEFA Champions League spot, firing home 31 goals in 45 games across all competitions.
To watch Harry Kane put his electric goal scoring skills on display against the best that Major League Soccer has to offer in the MLS All-Stars vs. Tottenham Hotspur 2015 MLS All-Star Game live online, see the streaming links in the final paragraph of this article. Kickoff for the MLS All-Star Game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park — home of the MLS Colorado Rapids. That’s 9 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 6 p.m. Pacific.
Unfortunately, two of the top MLS imported stars — both of whom would be familiar with Kane (above left) from facing him in the English top flight — will miss the All Star game due to injury. Former Liverpool Captain Stephen Gerrard of the Los Angeles Galaxy and ex-Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, now of New York City FC, were named to the MLS All Stars by league commissioner Don Garber before they ever played a minute on an MLS pitch.
But not only Gerrard and Lampard, but USA National Captain Michael Bradley of Toronto FC has been sidelined due to injury for the All-Star game.
Hugo Lloris, one of the world’s top goalkeepers and the first-choice netminder for France, will be in goal for Spurs, even though he suffered a broken wrist just two weeks ago — and the Barclays Premier League side will also feature Argentina international Erik Lamela, who scored five goals as an attacking midfielder for Tottenham last season.
The game is not just a “friendly” for the MLS All-Stars.
“If we lose, it’s a bad reflection on our league,” said Clint Dempsey (above right) this week. “We have to go out at represent ourselves well.”
Can the MLS All-Stars defeat one of the best teams in the world ‘s most celebrated domestic soccer league? Or will Tottenham Hotspur score a victory in its final major tune-up before opening the 2015-2106 Barclays Premier League season.
