Damage Control: Leah Messer Continues To Focus On Children On Social Media After ‘Teen Mom 2’ Backlash

Damage control appears to be in full-swing for Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer.

During the first three episodes of Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Messer has been seen struggling as parent, and as a wife. As her marriage to Jeremy Calvert neared its end on the MTV series, Messer has faced allegations of cheating and drug use, and all the while, she’s been battling her first husband’s claims of her being an “unfit mother.”

While being labeled an “unfit mother” is enough reason for Messer to be on damage control, the season has shared many more questionable parenting moments, which has Messer’s damage control working in overdrive.

Last week, Messer was seen putting her daughters Ali and Aleeah, who had school the following morning, to bed at midnight after serving them dinner just before 11:30 p.m., and this week is no better. In sneak peek clips currently airing on MTV, Messer’s ex-husband, Corey Simms, is seen revealing his 5-year-old daughter told him she’s been forced to learn how to make toast so that she can eat breakfast in the morning while her “sleepy head” mother remains in bed.

Now that she’s on damage control, Messer has been doing what she can online to make herself appear to be a good parent — starting on Twitter, where she recently shared a video about a cool toy.

Then, on July 28, just hours after a shocking sneak peek of Thursday’s Teen Mom 2 hit the web, Messer changed her Facebook profile photo from one of herself and her daughters to one of her daughters by themselves.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Messer has been on damage control for a while now, even hinting she has been falsely accused on Teen Mom 2. Weeks ago, the reality star and mother of three shared a Mother Teresa quote online, acting as if it were her co-stars, including Simms and his wife Miranda, who needed to be forgiven for their bad behavior.

“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today maybe forgotten tomorrow. Do go anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”

Judging by the Season 6 trailer, Messer is sure to be on damage control for at least the next few weeks, as shocking claims about her parenting continue to be seen on the show.
