WWE News: Kevin Owens Wants To ‘Put An End’ To WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar

Kevin Owens accomplished more in his first two months than some WWE superstars in their entire careers with the company. With three high-profile matches with John Cena, including a victory at Money in the Bank, the sky’s the limit for the former-WWE NXT champion. Even after his hot start on the WWE main roster, Owens wants more.

Like a true competitor, Owens wants to battle the best. He got face-to-face with Seth Rollins on WWE Smackdown last week, and now the French-Canadian has his eyes set on someone bigger and stronger. During an interview with talkSPORT’s Gorilla Position podcast, Kevin Owens called out WWE superstar, Brock Lesnar.

“I think there’s only one answer for me right now, and it is Brock Lesnar. I think a lot of people want to see it.”

I was there the night he made his debut on RAW for WWE. I was in the crowd, like the fifth row. I remember being blown away immediately by this guy, I was on board right away. I bought Brock Lesnar T-shirts and Brock Lesnar hats. My parents got a dog that summer, I named him Brock. Seriously, he was a blonde Lab, he was huge: ‘That’s Brock!’ I used to do the F5 when I was on the indies because of how much I admire him so I’d love to be the one to put an end to him.”

There isn’t a fan in the WWE that wouldn’t want to see that match. Despite differences from WWE Creative, Kevin Owens should still be a focus of programming for the foreseeable future. Even though Lesnar is in a hot feud with the Undertaker, he’ll need something to do after WWE SummerSlam.

Owens won’t have a hard time finding supporters backstage, because one of WWE’s top superstars is a big fan of the former-NXT champ. In an earlier report by the Inquisitr, John Cena expressed his support for Kevin Owens and Cesaro, two of WWE’s best young talent. For those that believe Cena buried Owens, well, that’s simply false.

It’s an old adage, but it still remains true today. A WWE superstar doesn’t have to win to go over. That’s particularly true with Becky Lynch. She lost to Sasha Banks at a NXT Takeover event and she got a standing ovation. Now, reverting back to Owens, the WWE can go in many directions with the future-WWE star.

A babyface turn isn’t in the future for him, so the WWE will need a strong heel angle for him to work with. Once his feud with Cesaro is finished, then perhaps a program with Brock Lesnar is in the cards. Add one of the best technical wrestlers, the WWE’s resident beast, and Paul Heyman, that’s a feud worth more than $9.99.
