Small Berkeley Earthquake rattles Bay Area


A small earthquake rattled homes in the San Francisco Bay area at 3:15am local time, April 27.

The 2.4 tremor was centered on the Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve, less than 1 mile due South of the main campus of the University of Southern California, Berkley.

There were no reports of injuries or damage, although the quake did wake local residents, including long term blogger and RSS co-creator Dave Winer.
