Lydia McLaughlin Reveals Having Three Kids Is Tough: ‘I Am Overwhelmed At Times’

Lydia McLaughlin has stayed out of the spotlight since she decided to leave The Real Housewives of Orange County behind. McLaughlin was heartbroken at how things went down during the season finale, where her mother was yelled at by Vicki Gunvalson’s own son-in-law. However, it sounds like Lydia is loving her current role as a mother of three.

According to a new blog post on Lydia’s own website, Lydia McLaughlin is now revealing that she does find it a bit overwhelming to have three children. Of course, McLaughlin also has her own business venture, a loving husband, a dedication to her church and faith, and a group of friends she wants to see.

“I am busy. Sometimes too busy. I am being pulled in all directions and can get overwhelmed.”

My oldest son just finished kindergarten and is heading into first grade in the fall. He is in the system. This is the first of 12 summer breaks with him. 12. Thats it. That is all I get, and then he is off into the world,” Lydia McLaughlin reveals in her blog post, adding, “As the mornings lag and I am tired, and busy, I try to remind myself of that; that this time with my boys is short and to invest in them. I jump in the pool and get my hair wet with them. Because, although I am tried and hot and bothered, I love them. I want to fill their hearts with hugs and memories of laughter.”

McLaughlin wants to spend more time with her sons and freeze her memories with them. And Lydia’s desires are some that most mothers can relate to. But as Lydia points out, she also wants to spend time developing her business and see her friends.

“Lord, I love you. I am overwhelmed at times but I also know this stage goes so fast. I want to cherish it and be present with my kids. I am so consumed with my hopes and dreams at times I can miss the goodness of now. Thank you for being a good God. A God I can trust. A God I love. A God I worship. Amen,” Lydia McLaughlin ends her blog post, admitting that her life and parenting can be a bit overwhelming at times.

McLaughlin has revealed that she doesn’t keep in touch with her Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars. Lydia decided to leave the show behind because she wanted to focus on family and possibly having another child. Since then, she has given birth to her third son, Roman. She hasn’t even watched the show since she left, according to the Inquisitr.

“I haven’t watched the O.C. once just because it would be too weird. Like your ex-boyfriend with a new girlfriend. You don’t want to look at that,” Lydia has revealed, adding, “I would just need to know that it was part of God’s plan, and if that became really clear to me, then yeah, I would totally do it again!”
