A 4-alarm fire broke out at Tyler Perry’s studios in Atlanda, Georgia around 8:54pm, according to the Atlanta Fire Department. The fire broke out several alarms in the building and was quickly extinguished upon the arrival of the fire department.

There is said to be no injuries in the fire that broke out at Perry’s studio, but as of right now officials are still checking the building for hot spots, as well as the cause of the fire. As far as the damages, one building is partially collapsed, said Captain J.L. Bundrige. It is unknown whether or not the director/writer/producer was in town when the fire took place.

Tyler Perry’s studios in Atlanta currently sits on a 60 acres of land which includes a 5-acre pond spans across 200,000-square-feet, which holds a five room studios, a chapel, a theater, a wardrobe department, hair and makeup department, a gym, Perry’s office, an art department, set decoration, a post-production office, a commissary, along with a backlot named 34th Street. “The fire’s out, but the cause remains under investigation,” said Captain Jolyon Bundrige, an additional source on behalf of the Atlanta Fire Department.

Perry’s hits which were largely made in some shape or form on the land include television shows House of Payne, Meet The Browns, as well as popular films including I Can Do Bad All By Myself, the Madea Series, and Why Did I Get Married?

In March of this year soul singer Cee Lo Green performed for donors at a charity event for President Barack Obama at the studios.
