Justin Bieber: ‘Big Announcement This Week’ — New Single, Album Release Date?
Justin Bieber has just revealed a “big announcement” will land “this week.”
You read that right. A “big announcement” about Justin Bieber will be touching down this week.
The news came via tweets from Bieber and his manager, Scooter Braun.

That’s very specific. More specific than Team Bieber is typically known for. Naturally, the superstar’s fans are hoping the announcement will be about new music. Such as, the first single from the Canadian’s upcoming album. Or the release date of his new album.
To say Beliebers are hoping this week’s Justin Bieber announcement is about new music is a tad conservative.
Online chatter reveals fans are simultaneously desperate and excited to hear solid details about the 21-year-old’s highly anticipated new jams. [See bottom of the page].
As the Inquisitr reported, the “Where Are U Now” singer has been collaborating with Jack U’s Skrillex and Diplo, and Kanye West and Rick Rubin on his album. In his recent rolled out Interview cover story, the heartthrob revealed his new material is “very personal” and “futuristic.” Previously, the singer admitted his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, inspired “a lot” of his new writing.
In addition to the “big announcement” promise, Justin Bieber fans were given a shot in the arm after a surprise reveal from E! host Maria Menounos over the weekend.
Like the Biebs, Menounos went to the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 Special Olympics World Games on Saturday, July 25. As did Braun, Stevie Wonder, Avril Lavigne, Jimmy Kimmel, First Lady Michelle Obama, and thousands of intellectually disabled athletes who are competing in various sports over nine days all around Los Angeles.
The E! presenter subsequently tweeted that Bieber played his new single to her, and even sang it.
Alongside a pic taken with Bieber, Cody Simpson, and Maria Shriver, Menounos tweeted “#specialolympics! @codysimpson @mariashriver @justinbeiber..justin gave me a sneak peak of his new single-so cool!”

As previously mused, it sounds as if Menounos heard Bieber’s lead single from his new album. So, the likelihood that the “big announcement” isn’t about music is slim to none.
At least, it needs to be if Team Bieber knows what time it is.
Update: Bieber is appearing on On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday In promotional material posted online by the syndicated show, Def Jam Records were tagged as well as Bieber and Braun. So, yes, music new cometh.
