Miley Cyrus To ‘The X-Factor?’ Singer In Talks To Join Britney Spears, Simon Cowell

Miley Cyrus may be headed back to the small screen. The former Disney star is reportedly in talks to join “The X-Factor” as one of the new judges.

Britney Spears is reportedly set to the join the show and Simon Cowell has already stated that he plans to fill the empty judges seat with another female talent. A source told Celebuzz that Miley is being considered for the Fox show. Fergie, Avril Lavigne and Demi Lovato, are also being considered.

Spears hasn’t officially signed a contract yet but the singer is reportedly hashing out the final details of her $15 million contract.

Cowell said:

“I’m fascinated by Britney… The fact that she’s one of the most talked about — not just pop stars but people — in the world today, means that you’ve got this star power. This girl has resilience. I would think that if she’s managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, (X Factor would be) a walk in the park. I would be fascinated to hear what she has to say. She’s still hot, she’s still having hit records and she’s still controversial. There’s a reason for that.”

Cowell cleaned house last year after “The X-Factor” failed to meet his ratings expectations. Judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, as well as host Steve Jones, were all fired from the show. Cowell said that he wanted to bring in big name talent in order to boost ratings.
