‘Answered Prayers’ TV Show Premieres Tonight On TLC With Roma Downey Hosting

Answered Prayers is an exciting new program that will be airing on the TLC channel tonight starring Roma Downey. Answered Prayers is sure to bring you the most compelling and inspiring true stories of people who have faced life-threatening situations, but survived their ordeals by the grace of God and divine intervention.

Roma Downey, who will be the host for Answered Prayers, believes that this new show is exactly the kind of programming TLC needs. Viewers will see the Gillises, a loving family who survived a deadly tornado in Henryville, Indiana. That day started out as any other day, but quickly turned into their worst nightmare after a tornado, with winds exceeding 185 mph, struck their home—carrying it for some distance. Believing that they were going to die within minutes, the only thing the Gillis family could do was pray that God would take care of their children. Mrs. Gillis is a firm believer that the angels are the reason that her family survived that day.

We will also hear the terrifying story of a family of four whose car plunged into an icy river. Believing that they would never make it out alive, miraculously, all four of them escaped the torrential waters to safety. The disturbing story of a pastor who was stabbed 37 times, but lived to tell it is also chronicled.

In another episode of Answered Prayers, viewers will hear the terrifying ordeal of a little boy who was trapped under the sand for hours as his parents watched in horror.
