‘Big Brother 17’ Spoilers: Sole HOH Has New Target In ‘BB17’ House

Big Brother 17 spoilers may reveal a new Week 5 target for eviction. Previous BB17 spoilers had indicated that sole Head of Household Vanessa Rousso had one particular target in mind, but a shift in attitudes this weekend may save that houseguest from going home. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Vanessa was set on getting Austin Matelson out of the house, but when Jackie Ibarra got dethroned as HOH, she started to second-guess that decision. Now a report from fan site Big Brother Network indicates she may have tossed out that idea completely.

These latest Big Brother 17 spoilers show just how paranoid some of the people in the house have become this season. It seemed that Vanessa and her alliance (Shelli Poole, Clay Honeycutt, Liz Nolan, and Julia Nolan) were intent on getting Austin out until they started over-thinking things. Now Shelli and Vanessa have just about convinced themselves that the other side of the house would be helped by an Austin eviction, and they would be the next people on the chopping block. Little do they realize that there is no other strong alliance in the BB17 house right now.

So now it appears that Becky Burgess could be at risk of going home, even though she was intended to simply be a pawn put up on the block. This is why the saying exists that pawns go home, because despite being on board with all the plans that Vanessa Rousso and Jackie Ibarra had as the two HOHs, Becky could be the next one to walk out the door. Becky might never see it comes either, especially if Austin gets put on the block, with Vanessa and Shelli quietly campaigning to save him.

In addition to Becky Burgess, there are several other houseguests that these Big Brother 17 spoilers indicate could be in trouble. Shelli thinks that it might be a good idea to blindside Jackie and have her put up as the replacement nominee. Since Becky has more support in the BB17 house, it is almost guaranteed that Jackie would get voted out if that’s what the power alliance wanted to see happen. Vanessa could also shift back to a prior plan to get Steve Moses voted out by putting him up next to Becky. He would certainly never see that coming.

A lot has happened in the 24 hours following Clay Honeycutt winning the Week 5 Veto competition. It almost seemed guaranteed that Austin Matelson would become the replacement nominee and easily get voted out of the house on Thursday (July 30). Instead, paranoia and promises he has made to Vanessa Rousso and Shelli Poole to do anything they ask may have saved him. There is still time for a lot to happen before the Monday (July 27) Veto ceremony, though, so it’s possible fresh Big Brother 17 spoilers could come out before then.
