Snoop Dogg Briefly Arrested In Sweden On Suspicion Of Drugs, Vows Never To Return

Rapper Snoop Dogg, 43, was briefly arrested Saturday in Sweden on suspicion of drug use.

After being released, Snoop Dogg took to social media to blast Swedish authorities for mistakenly accusing him of being intoxicated, alleging racial profiling.

“They made me pee in a cup — didn’t find shit.”

Following his concert in the Swedish city of Uppsala, police pulled Snoop’s car over when they suspected that the rapper was intoxicated, the Guardian reports.

“N***as got me in the back of police car right now in Sweden, cuz. Pulled a n***a over for nothing, taking us to the station where I gotta pee in a cup for nothing. I ain’t did nothing. All I did was came to the country and did a concert. And now I gotta go to the police station, for nothing.”

A police spokesperson said the rapper was taken into custody because he appeared under the influence of narcotics.

“Police carrying out roadside controls noticed that Snoop Dogg seemed to be under the influence of narcotics. He was arrested and taken to the police station to take a urine test. The incident lasted several minutes. Once the test was carried out, he left.”

According to Vibe magazine, Sweden maintains a zero-tolerance policy with regard to the use of drugs. Marijuana was criminalized back in 1988, leading to a lower use of cannabis among students compared to that of other European countries.

While Snoop Dogg was cleared by Swedish police, his lyrics often reference marijuana use.

Following the incident, Snoop Dogg took to Instagram to post several videos voicing his anger about the incident. He blamed the run-in on racial profiling and vowed to never return to Sweden.

“On my mamas im sick and tired of the pigs. N America n these countries that jus don’t respect us fuck that new me new u u do we do 2.”

In another post, Snoop Dogg vowed never to return to Sweden as a result of the false arrest.

“2 all my sweden fans U can blame YA police dept for never seeing me again in your beautiful country its allways a few dicks that fuck it up for everybody its been real thank u Jah bless.!! Fuck the police. And I’m still smokin.”
