Blake Shelton Tweets Miranda Lambert: What Was Her Response? [Video]

Despite reports that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are “sad” and “depressed” about their divorce, the split seems to be amicable based on friendly tweets passed between the two country stars. On July 24, Blake sent tweets to Miranda, asking if there was anyone who hasn’t yet snagged a copy of Ashley Monroe’s new album, reports People magazine.

“Hey @mirandalambert can u believe there’s people who haven’t bought @ashleymonroe new album? Isn’t that shocking?!!” one of Blake Shelton tweets asked. Just minutes later, Miranda Lambert, replied: “no I can’t because it is the best work she has ever done! I love it! We love you! @ashleymonroe.”

“Now THIS is what everybody needs to be talking about!!!!!!!!! Go @ashleymonroe!!!” Blake replied.

One fan didn’t believe the tweets between Blake and Miranda were real, however, and sent messages Blake Shelton to ask if the tweets were pre-set. Shelton denied those claims outright, reports Us Weekly. “Nope.. Not at all buddy,” was Blake’s succinct reply.

Shelton also addressed a fan who sent tweets that she was “losing respect because of this whole charade,” to which Blake Shelton replied: “Well rest assured not one s— is given.”

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their split this week, citing different schedules that made the marriage difficult, reports People. While Lambert wanted to try to make it work, Shelton just wanted to be done with it. A source close to the country duo reported, “she wanted to try and make it work, maybe have more of a separation. But he said, ‘I’m filing.'”

People reports that Miranda Lambert got the couple’s Nashville property in the split, while Blake Shelton got to keep his Oklahoma ranch, and the couple are working out the division of their pets.

While Blake still loves Miranda, a source close to Shelton confesses that it just wasn’t going to work. “It came on very quickly,” the source told People. “It was very clear that things weren’t going to work out. So he decided to end it. He still loves her very much.” Despite media scrutiny that wrote Shelton cheated on Lambert, “He hasn’t cheated ever, ever, ever. This has really shaken him.”

In a statement shared with Us Weekly, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert said “This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.” According to reports, the couple are “heartbroken” despite their silly tweets.
