R&B Star Kelly Price Seeks Divorce After 23 Year Marriage [Video]
R&B singer Kelly Price and husband Jeffrey Rolle Sr. plan to divorce after the untimely and shocking death of Price’s sister. The couple live in New York City and have been together since they were 19-years-old. They married in 1992.

Together, Kelly Price and her husband have two children, a son, Jeffrey Rolle Jr., 23, and daughter Jonia Rolle, 21, reports Always A List. The divorce is an amicable one, and Price said in a statement that she will always love her husband, but it’s time for a divorce.
In a statement issued to Always A List, Kelly Price said, “After the untimely death of my sister last year, it weighed on me heavily that this was something we needed to do. I ultimately made the decision to live the best life I can. I ended things because I didn’t want to compromise what true happiness was anymore.”
Kelly Price told Always A List that there are “no hard feelings.” Kelly also mentioned that she will “love Jeff until the day” she dies, despite the divorce.

Price is well known in the R&B world and is a seven-time Grammy Award nominee. Kelly Price has collaborated with Eric Clapton, Jermaine Dupri, and LL Cool J on music, and Price also was a former background singer for Mariah Carey and accompanied the star on many tours. She also is a collaborator of Bad Boy Records, the Isley Brothers, and R. Kelly.
Kelly Price has starred in television shows, notably, she starred on the TV One reality series R&B Divas: Los Angeles in 2013, although she left the show after Season 1, reports UPI.
Her last album was Sing Pray Love, Vol. 1: Sing, which was released in June 2014. In her interview with Always A List, Kelly mentioned she plans to release a new album titled Sing, Pray, Love Vol. 2: Pray, which will include songs about her divorce. Price plans to “sing about her divorce in a way that speaks to other women on her upcoming album, which is expected to be released via eOne Nashville in 2016,” reports UPI.
Kelly Price is best known for her hits such as “Friend of Mine,” “You Should’ve Told Me,” “It’s My Time,” as well as a remake of the Shirley Murdock classic, “As We Lay” reports UPI. So far, Kelly Price has released five R&B albums, one Gospel CD, and a Christmas album, and her next one will focus on her divorce.
