Drizzy Drake Might Have ‘Views From The 6th’ Tier— Kentucky Wildcats Send Rapper Informal ‘Restraining Order’

Drizzy Drake is making non-music headlines while he headlines shows. If the recent Meek Mill beef wasn’t enough, the Kentucky Wildcats came at Aubrey bearing cease and desist orders.

Apparently, the team’s administrative heads believe Drake has been getting too involved with the team and the players. Kentucky claims that on October 17, 2014, Drizzy and three players had some form of impermissible communication. Fraternizing seems to be an issue.

Specifically, it had to do with new recruits. Maybe his presence is seen as a form of bribery to join the Wildcats. “Come to the Wildcats. We have Drake.” You know? So, Drizzy might have views from the 6th tier this season, huh?

Nevertheless, as reported by Sports News, Drizzy’s interaction with Charles Matthews probably had no bearing at all in his decision to join the Wildcats. He had already committed.

“Because Matthews had verbally committed to the Wildcats in February 2014 — some eight months before the Big Blue Madness event — Kentucky argued in the ‘mitigating circumstances’ section of its correspondence that it was not considered a recruiting advantage.”

Kentucky’s totally against Drizzy being so engaged with the team. As Sports Illustrated reported, Drake’s favorite basketball team issued something of a restraining order.

“In UK’s letter to the NCAA, it wrote that it had issued the cease-and-desist to Drake asking him to refrain from speaking or taking pictures with prospective players when ‘outside the parameters established by the NCAA’.”

While the team’s administrative leaders may feel this way, Kentucky’s coach — John Calipari — is 180-degrees on the issue. He even took to Twitter to express his thoughts about Drake and the UK family.

Drizzy has been known to lay some nets down. However, and unfortunately for the sake of live viewing, in the above video all the nets remained intact.

What are your thoughts about Drake’s basketball performance? Do you think he’s helps convince prospects to play for the Kentucky Wildcats?
