Jill Duggar Dillard And Family Continue To Spread God’s Word Despite Cancellation Of ’19 Kids And Counting’

The recent cancellation of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting left many Duggar fans heartbroken. Despite all the controversy, Jill Duggar Dillard and the rest of the Duggar family are staying true to their core values which made the reality show such a hit.

Jill Duggar, husband Derick Dillard, and baby Israel set off on a mission trip recently to work with S.O.S. Ministries in spreading the Word of God and bringing people closer to him. The mission trip that Jill Duggar and her family embarked upon is a bit controversial as they raised funds through their own charity site for the trip, and they have not disclosed their exact destination. However, mission trips are typically very expensive, and one can understand why Jill and Derick may not want the whole world to know where they are right now. Media coverage could be detrimental to the work they are trying to perform.

Last month, Derick took to the family blog to explain some of the reasons why he and Jill Duggar chose to become international missionaries.

“Since we first began our relationship, it has always been our goal that Jesus Christ might be glorified as we serve others through family ministry, by whatever means that might be. After much prayer and seeking Godly counsel, we realized that taking this opportunity and moving overseas in order to serve is the best option for our family.”

“We don’t expect this new adventure to always be easy, but God never promised that following Him wouldn’t have its challenges. We are confident in knowing that there is no better place to be than in the center of God’s will for our lives. We look forward to this adventure and the joy of serving Him in this new way. We wanted to share this with you and ask for your prayers as our family makes this transition.”

According to Us Weekly,Jill Duggar, Derick, and Israel have reached the mission field somewhere in Central America, and so far, all seems to be going well. Jill posted an update recently on the blog.

“We are so excited to announce that we have safely arrived on the mission field and we can now tell you that we are in Central America! It is encouraging to already see some of the ways God is changing the hearts of the people here. Just 7 days ago, I had the joy of witnessing one elderly woman give lordship of her life to Christ. This transpired just one day after her Christian son was restored to fellowship in his local church. It’s our prayer, and we ask you to please pray with us, that many more would repent of their ways and turn to God’s way for their life.”

Apparently, the beloved Duggar grandson is causing quite a stir among the people where Jill Duggar is staying. Affectionately called the “big blue-eyed, white baby,” Israel is getting a lot of loving attention from the villagers.

In light of all the negative attention the Duggar family has endured these past few months, it is quite a change to hear some positive Duggar news. Perhaps what we will see is, reality show or no reality show, the Duggar family is genuinely true to God.
