‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For Weekend Of July 24, Re-Runs
The return of Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a bit of a disappointment this weekend for Destiny players following two straight visits featuring new “House of Wolves” Exotic armor pieces being sold. It’s all re-runs this week for PlayStation and Xbox owners.
This weekend, Xûr can be found across from the Speaker in the Tower North. Simply head to the left when you first spawn in the Tower, and you’ll find him standing in front of a large, round door across from the speaker’s entrance. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map just to be sure though.
Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, July 26. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.
As more Exotic pieces have been introduced to Destiny and new activities have been introduced, the value of The Armamentarium, Young Ahamkara’s Spine, and Starfire Protocol have been reduced. They aren’t bad pieces, though, especially for new players building their collection of Exotics.
Patience and Time is also on sale, which is good news following last week’s mix up where no Exotic weapon was sold. The Exotic Engram finally gets off the helmet too. Those looking to try to get a “House of Wolves” chest piece with all their Motes of Light, here’s your chance.
Here is what is available for sale and upgrade from Xûr this weekend. Thanks again to DestinyDB for the Exotic information below.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.
Patience and Time is one of the better sniper rifles in Destiny, thanks to its stability and perks. It’s reload speed is slow, but the magazine does holds six rounds. It also throws in the “Third Eye” perk that keeps the in-game radar up while aiming down the sights. The Patience and Time namesake perk also turns on active camouflage when aiming; useful in PVP and tough spots in PVE. The weapon’s Arc damage is always good for an Arc burn week in the Weekly Nightfall Strikes and Prison of Elders.
The Armamentarium chest armor for Titans is for those who like to load up on grenades. The “Grenade Booster” perk grants a second grenade to players, which can be killer in PVP matches combined with the Striker’s Lightning Grenades. As the PVE-meta has turned more toward Defender Titans being valued over Strikers, this piece has seen less use. However, it’s still a strong play in PVP.
The 140 Discipline stat roll is a good 40 points away from the current “House of Wolves” max for Destiny chest pieces. The Armamentarium should only be a pickup this week if you don’t have it yet or have one with an even worse roll.
Young Ahamkara’s Spin is a cool looking set of Gauntlets for the Hunter Gunslingers, but their main benefit is toward grenades. A high Discipline rating will help your grenades spawn faster while the Ashes to Asset perk will replenish Super energy faster when getting a kill with a grenade. The main draw is the “Improved Tripmine Grenade” perk that will allow those grenades to hang around 30 seconds longer. That is very useful in PVP, but not so much in PVE.
The 108 Discipline stat roll is not far off from the current max in Destiny, but it is slightly less than the last time these were sold.
The Starfire Protocol chest armor for Warlocks is meant for the Sunsinger sub-class thanks to the “Starfire Protocol” perk. It allows for an additional Fusion grenade. However, this does not stack with the “Gift of the Sun” perk, so you can still only max out at two. What it does allow is for you to select either the “Angel of Light” or “Touch of Flame” perks instead. It also allows you to carry extra Fusion Rifle and Heavy Weapon ammo.
The 130 Intellect roll is exceptionally poor for chest armor this week, which makes the Starfire Protocol a pass. Destiny players looking for a new chest piece for their Warlock will need to take their chances with the Exotic Engram this week.
