The United States Prepares To Attack Iran [The Iranian Threat]
While the Obama Administration is moving forward on the engagement front with Iran, intelligence sources are reporting that he is getting the United States military ready to strike Iran over its nuclear program.
Israeli intelligence site Debka is reporting that President Obama ordered the US Navy, Air Force, ground, intelligence and special forces units to perform a massive exercise this week in order to simulate an Israeli/US strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Add that to the build up of carrier strike groups that have been stationed in the Persian Gulf and Mediterranean Sea and you have all the makings for a serious conflict. The United States already has two aircraft carriers in the neighborhood, the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Enterprise.
The United States also moved a squadron of stealth F-22 Raptors to airbases in the United Arab Emirates this week. It is noted by sources that the F-22’s purpose will be to annihilate the Iranian Air Force and air defense systems to pave the way for Israeli and American pilots to completely destroy Iran’s nuclear sites and the infrastructure of the regular army as well as Iran’s revolutionary guards.
Sources in Washington are also revealing that after the first day of the exercises, Defense Secretary Leon Pannetta reported back to the President the following:
1. Iran will not respond to the attack by using all it has in its arsenal. The Islamic Republic will want to conserve what is left of its military to defend against a possible secondary American/Israeli strike which is launched to change the regime in Iran.
2. It will not take very long for the Iranian’s to go back to work on building a nuclear weapon.
3. After the destruction of its current nuclear program Iran will be more open to dialogue about stopping the program altogether.
