Patrick Dempsey Rescue Pics Hit Web, More Details Revealed About Actor’s Role in Car Wreck

Last week, Patrick Dempsey made a heroic attempt to unseat Ryan Gosling from the role of famous guy rescuer in the news.

While Ryan Gosling has caused nationwide swooning due to his propensity for breaking up NYC street fights and pulling random chicks out of the paths of buses in the Big Apple, Patrick Dempsey went all human jaws of life on a kid who flipped his Mustang while driving near the TV doc’s house.

Dempsey was apparently home when the accident occurred, and the teen driver managed to flip the car several times in the vicinity of the actor’s home in what was undeniably a scary accident. And while Joe Homeowner may have just called 911 and waited for the authorities to come sort out the wreck, Dempsey waded in and handled the problem himself, to an extent, freeing the teen from the wreckage with a crowbar.

According to TMZ, the teen (pictured below) was miraculously and relatively unharmed by the scary collision- suffering injuries that sound a bit less scary than they look- and was duly shocked to wake up in the wreckage to the face of Patrick Dempsey:

Dempsey successfully pulled the driver from the wreckage — a 17-year-old named Weston Massett — who tells TMZ, when he opened his eyes, the actor was looking right down at him.

Massett asked, “Are you famous?” … and Patrick coolly replied, “I’m a doctor.”

According to the gossip site, it wasn’t only the teen that got a cool celebrity story to brag about from the incident. Dempsey also called Massett’s mom on the phone, keeping her calm while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
