‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Blu-Ray Release Brings Hilarious Gag Reel [Video]
Pitch Perfect 2 brought in mixed reviews from critics but delivered plenty of hearty laughs among the cult fan base who fell in love with the first movie. They’ve already announced another installment to the franchise, but fans won’t have to wait long to get their fix of the hilarious Barden Bellas. Along with the announced release date of the Pitch Perfect 2 Blu-ray has come an online sample of the gag reel from the film’s production, which you can see in the YouTube video above.
The actors in Pitch Perfect 2 already have a knack for comedy, but sometimes they’re even funnier when they’re failing to deliver their comedic lines correctly. But not all of the gag reel is mistakes. Nearly half of the footage is actresses like Brittany Snow and Anna Kendrick goofing off on set, trying to make the cast and crew laugh. It’s a bit of free Pitch Perfect bonus content you won’t want to miss.
According to Coming Soon, the Pitch Perfect 2 Blu-ray disc set will hit stores on September 22, bringing with it a collection of exclusive a Cappella goodies. Along with the goofy gag reel above, you can expect some brand new performances from the Treblemakers, who had a backseat role in Pitch Perfect 2. You can also see plenty of deleted, alternate, and extended scenes and some “making of” footage.
The official Blu-ray also teases the following mysterious bonus content titles: Das Sound Machine Finale Breakdown, Snoop in the House, Green Bay Rap, Line-Aca-Rama, The World Championships of A Cappella, An Aca-Love Story: Bumper and Fat Amy, Legacy: Hailee Steinfeld, Aca-Camp, Residual Heat Internship, The Bellas Are Back, and Elizabeth Banks’ Directorial Debut.
Speaking of Elizabeth Banks’ first time directing a feature-length movie, the actress was honored for her contributions to women in show business by Step Up’s Inspiration Awards by making a successful movie entirely about women.
