Jeffrey Lash And Dawn VadBunker: Missing Mom Believed Dead Man With 1,200 Guns Was ‘Alien Savior’

Jeffery Lash, a man found decomposing in an SUV this week, and Dawn VadBunker, a mom of two missing since July 3, now turn out to be linked, police and VadBunker’s family say — but the connection between them is absolutely bizarre.

Apparently, Catherne Nebron, the employer and close friend of VadBunker was engaged to marry the 60-year-old Lash, a betrothal that even the man’s family was unaware of.

But that’s not even the weird part.

The 39-year-old VadBunker — a mother of two teen daughters in Oxnard, California — was located unharmed in Oregon last week, but though she apologized for causing worry to her loved ones, she had not returned home as of a week later, and had not given a reason for her sudden disappearance.

Apparently, according to Laura VadBunker — Dawn’s own mother — Catherine Nebron and Dawn VadBunker had somehow come to believe that Lash was a secret government agent who was part human and part alien. That would explain, sort of, why when police searched Nebron’s home, they found Lash’s gun collection.

“I can’t believe this,” Laura VadBunker told Los Angeles TV Station KTLA. “It’s worse than a Twilight Zone movie and we’ve lived through hell.”

She described her daughter’s belief about Lash’s identity, saying, “he was part alien and part human and was out to save the world.”

The gun collection police found in the condo where Lash lived with Nebron was not just any old gun collection. Lash owned an arsenal of 1,200 weapons, a cache so enormous that police needed multiple trucks just to take them out of the home, along with an incredible six tons of ammunition.

And that wasn’t all — police also found several SUVs apparently belonging to the late Jeffrey Lash, including a Toyota that was equipped to drive underwater as well as on land.

Where Lash, described by his family as a strange “loner,” obtained the funds to purchase all of those vehicles remains unclear. Police also found about $230,000 in cash among his belongings. A family member told the Los Angeles Times that at one time, Lash owned a medical laboratory, but that was back in the 1980s.

Somehow Nebron lassoed his fianceé and her friend into his web of paranoia, convincing them of his “true” identity.

But then something unexpected happened. On July 4, Lash suddenly died.

Nebron told police that her fianceé was with the two women in a parking lot in Santa Monica, California when he developed trouble breathing. Before Nebron and VadBunker could do anything to get help for the ailing man, he collapsed and died.

Believing that Lash was the part-alien super-spy that he said he was, the two frightened women left his body in one of his SUVs not far from the home Lash and Nebron shared, according to Nebron’s own account. Then they fled for Oregon, believing that other government agents would pick up the body.

They believed, because he told them so earlier, that he had been exposed to strange chemicals while on a secret government mission, and that was the cause of his illness.

But government agents did not show up to collect Lash’s body, which remained in the SUV, decomposing, until Nebron returned from Oregon to Pacific Palisades, California. At that time, her lawyer says, she called the cops because she was “shocked” that his body was still sitting there.

Nebron and Jeffrey Lash had reportedly been a couple for 17 years. As for Dawn VadBunker, her mother said that she is worried for her daughter’s mental health, and has pleaded with her to return home to her children.
