Post-Rehab Plans Revealed: What Is Kim Richards Doing To Stay Sober?

The post-rehab plans of Kim Richards were revealed last night.

Earlier this year, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star suffered an alcohol relapse, which ultimately led to her April 16 arrest, and a series of stints in rehab. During her arrest, Richards became irate with employees at the Beverly Hills Hotel, who had cut her off at the bar, and kicked a police officer who took her into custody. Following the arrest, Richards appeared on Dr. Phil, where she came clean about her relapse, and discussed possible post-rehab plans. Still, her sobriety wasn’t easy to come by, and Richards reportedly relapsed in Mexico just weeks later.

While out of the country to attend her daughter’s, Brooke Brinson, wedding, Richards allegedly indulged in an alcohol binge, and missed her deadline to return to rehab, forcing her to enter a second facility in June after she returned to Los Angeles. Weeks later, Richards reportedly entered a third rehab, although the facility was never revealed.

On July 23, Fox News shared a number of quotes from a new Richards’ interview with Entertainment Tonight‘s Nischelle Turner, and included her statements regarding her post-rehab plans.

“I went in and I got to learn a whole lot about myself. I dug deep into my past, things that happened to me as a child, good and bad, teenage years, relationships with all my loved ones, where they need to be mended, where they’re very powerful. I worked on me.”

Among her post-rehab plans are a “wonderful” sponsor, a life coach, and “a great home group and sober friends.”

Prior to her post-rehab plans being established, Richards received treatment in Malibu, California, where she remained until earlier this month. Even though her niece, Nicky Hilton, recently tied the knot with James Rothschild in London, England, Richards “decided to stay in treatment,” because she felt it was best to complete her program.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Richards spoke of more than just her post-rehab plans during her interview with Entertainment Tonight. She also dished on her sobriety, according to Us Weekly, claiming she “loved” being clean.

“I love sobriety. I’ve always loved sobriety, and relapsing was very hard for me. It was not easy.”

As for a return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Richards claimed it was possible. However, it is likely in her best interest to focus on her post-rehab plans as opposed to her reality return.
