WWE News: The Undertaker Vs Brock Lesnar At ‘SummerSlam’ To Set Up Big Storyline For ‘WrestleMania 32’

As we know by now, The Undertaker is set to take on Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam. This is the first match Undertaker has had on a PPV outside of WrestleMania in years. We’d have to go all the way back to the last Bragging Rights PPV for it. No one is complaining that it is happening now, but this seemingly threw WrestleMania plans into a tailspin, as having this match-up with ‘Taker go down now sort of ruins it happening at WrestleMania 32. Or does it?

According to The Wrestling Observer, The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar match will “play a part in the storyline for one of top matches at WrestleMania.”

Basically, this appears to be a way of saying that Undertaker/Lesnar will probably happen again at WrestleMania 32 in a rubber match. This will most likely be ‘Taker’s last match with WWE, as he has been rumored to retire after WrestleMania 32. Undertaker is set to get a win back, which probably means he is going to win at WWE SummerSlam. Going in, this seems kind of obvious though: Why would Undertaker return only to lose?

The Undertaker would never lose this particular battle. The war may be up in the air however.

Most believe that a third match will go down. It makes sense to think that the two working twice with Undertaker going over both times makes sense. Brock Lesnar ended “The Streak.” If he loses a match for the first time in 2 years and a rivalry, no one can really complain about this as Lesnar has potentially the greatest accomplishment in all of pro-wrestling. He is the only man to have ever beaten The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Legends and Hall of Famers have not done it, yet Lesnar did. It is an accomplishment one can hang a career on, so it makes all the sense in the world that Paul Heyman would bring it up on television every time he could. The storyline makes so much sense in the end. Undertaker got tired of hearing it over and over again. Yet everyone knew the streak ender would use this accomplishment as a big part of their character.

The fact that this isn’t the last time the two will hook up is a good sign, as the rivalry between the two has been so good that fans are talking about WWE RAW again as a can’t miss show. RAW was excellent this past week, mostly due to Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. To have more of that near WrestleMania time would be great to see along with the other angles WWE is sure to give us.
