Henry Cavill Cast In ‘Fifty Shades’ Sequel? Actor Talks About Rumors

Rumors that Henry Cavill (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) will be cast in the Fifty Shades sequel have been floating around for a while now, but now the British actor is commenting on all the talk about his reported role in the film.

Many believe that Cavill is now too big a star to take a supporting role in such a controversial film, in which he was rumored to star in the first place. One of the actors fans were clamoring for, for the Christian Grey role, was Henry Cavill and after some controversy, Jamie Dornan landed the part of the troubled billionaire.

But not so fast. In a recent interview, while promoting the upcoming action film, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Henry Cavill was asked about the much talked-about rumors and he didn’t deny them.

“Basically, what I can say is I can’t say anything about it right now,” the actor teased, when asked by E! News. This very mysterious comment suggests that perhaps there is reason for all the rumors surrounding the potential casting in the Fifty Shades sequel.

Rumor has it the role Cavill would play is that of Anastasia Steele’s (Dakota Johnson) boss, Jack Hyde. According to Access Hollywood, the character is described as “a man with sensual blues eyes that can pierce your heart,” which fits nicely with the Brit’s handsome looks.

The sequel Fifty Shades Darker is set to debut in theaters in 2017 and since Henry Cavill has been doing all these actions roles in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and Batman v Superman maybe he is ready for something completely different. This would be it.

For fans of the 32-year-old actor, it would be a dream come true to see him in this film, even if he is not playing Christian Grey. The fact that he would potentially be sharing the screen with Jamie Dornan has the Internet on fire.
