Original Story:

An Amber Alert is issued for Dereck ‘D.J.’ Wayne Felder, 12, who was last seen Monday evening, according to My Fox Houston.

The boy is believed to be with a man named Cornelius Alix, 40. He’s a man who might be dressed as a woman and driving a gray 2013 Dodge Charger. It’s possible that he’s in the southeast area of Houston. Felder is described as being African-American, 4-feet-8-inches tall, weighing 95 pounds, and has mohawk-style hair. He was seen wearing black gym shorts and a blue t-shirt.

Click 2 Houston reports that Dereck Wayne Felder, Jr. was last seen July 20 at the 1800 block of Longmire Dr., where his home is. Conroe police have reason to believe that Felder could be in “grave danger.”

Cornelius Alix also goes by the alias, Chekita Joseph. Alix is an African-American, standing a5-feet-9 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

ABC 13 News reports that authorities initially classified Felder’s disappearance two days ago as a runaway. It was elevated to an Amber Alert due to the secrecy surrounding the boy’s relationship with Joseph. The two apparently met at church. Felder — and two other children — were at Joseph’s home. He kept “making excuses about bringing them home,” according to the report.

Investigators have questions about Felder’s association with Joseph within the last few days. Joseph is considered a “person of interest” in the case.

Investigators are still questioning Felder about his interactions with Joseph over the last few days.
