Fantasia Barrino Gets Her Fairy Tale Ending, ‘American Idol’ Winner Marries Kendall Taylor
Her life might not have been a fairy tale but like those stories of old, Fantasia Barrino’s love story ended with a happy ending.
The 31-year-old singer and her fiancé, Kendall Taylor, were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony on the sea.
Fantasia shared photos of her big day with her fans and friends on Instagram. Inspired by her love of the sea, the wedding ceremony apparently took place on a luxury yacht and was witnessed by people close to the couple.
The American Idol winner’s Instagram photo clearly showed her love for the sea and for her man. The photo showed the newlyweds, with Fantasia smiling broadly with her husband against a backdrop of the ocean. The caption touched on her love of water and her happiness with Taylor.
“God made him just for Me and me Just For Him.. This Man.. Covers and prays for me and my children EVERY morning.. This Man.. Loves My Father in Heaven and his name is God.. This Man allows me to just be a woman,” she wrote.
Fantasia has two children from previous relationships. Her daughter, Zion, is already 13-years-old, while her son, Dallas, is just 3-years-old.
Rocky is an understatement when describing the Grammy Award winner’s road to happiness. The Life is not a Fairy Tale author was in an on-again, off-again controversial relationship with Antwaun Cook a while back. The media continued to give her grief, even when she started dating Taylor, pointing out that the Metro Transportation COO has a criminal record.
But Fantasia and Taylor stayed strong, and are now enjoying their much deserved happiness, something that can be clearly seen in the Broadway performer’s Instagram post.
“No more Hurt because King Kendall will never let that happen.. I’m off to just kiss, Hug and play in some water with This Man.. Look at Him in the pic YEP!! HE COVERS ME.. Be Happy with me you guys cause I’ve been thru SOOOOO much,” she wrote before ending the caption with “God did not forget about me.”
Aside from the photo of Fantasia cuddling with her new husband, fans were also treated to photos of the star rocking a black gown with white jewels and black feathers that she clarified was “not her wedding dress.”
There was also a picture of the couple’s four-tiered wedding cake. The black and white confection was decorated simply with a black band, silver accents, and red roses that had diamante accents.
Fantasia ended her day with a post thanking the people who made their day special, from well-wishers to friends and to her and her husband’s mothers.
