Memphis: Mentally Ill Woman Abuses 19-Day-Old Child While Father Films The Whole Thing [Disturbing Video]

In a disturbing turn of events, a Memphis mentally ill woman is filmed abusing her 19-day-old child. The person behind the camera is none other than the baby’s father. The father then posted the video on the Fox 13 News Memphis Facebook account. From there, Fox 13 contacted the Memphis Police Department, and they have stepped in.

Lily Moore, the grandmother of Christian Moore, the little baby, spoke exclusively with Fox 13 News, and she tried to set the record straight on just exactly what happened during the incident.

“Knowing my daughter, that was not my normal daughter.”

“She told me that he (the boy’s father) kicked the door in and it frightened her, and she had been off her meds for about nine months because she didn’t want to take anything to harm the baby.”

After the Memphis Police arrived, they took the mother in for a mental evaluation. Moore goes on to describe exactly what the doctors had told her.

“After they took her to Lakeside, they assessed her and they had to medicate her. They heavily medicated her down because they knew she was toxic; she was very, very toxic.”

A question on most people’s mind is why would a father film something like this taking place. For that reason, the father, who had asked for his name to be withheld, also spoke with Fox 13 about what prompted him to take the actions he did.

“Why would I try to obtain this child and she’s going through schizophrenic moment?”

He explained that he feared that someone might accuse him of kidnapping his child, and he felt that young Christian didn’t need that.

“I wanted to put my hands on her, but I couldn’t. That was going to leave me in jail and the baby still was going to go with them. It can’t be two dumb parents.”

The father added that initially the Memphis Police Department was going to arrest him for allowing this to happen. They have yet to do that at this time because as the father explained “he came forward with it.”

As it stands, Christian, along with his sister who is also in the video, seem to be in the custody of Lily Moore. Thankfully, Christian was evaluated at Le Bonheur, and he is doing well.
