Blake Shelton And Miranda Lambert Divorce: Inside The Couple’s Legal Battle

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s divorce is still shocking country fans everywhere. Now, there are new details behind the couple’s quick and clean legal battle.

Although Blake Shelton, 39, and Miranda Lambert, 31, have chosen to go their separate ways since “their future wasn’t what they envisioned,” they have agreed to divide their assets accordingly. Shelton and Lambert reportedly have a prenup in place and their divorce was settled just two weeks ago. Together, the couple makes a combined $90 million as Shelton makes $60 million while Lambert only makes $30 million.

The couple’s pets and animals at their Oklahoma ranches will all go directly to Miranda Lambert, according to a previous report via People. However, they will not let go of their shared adopted town of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. In the town, Miranda owns her clothing store, The Pink Pistol, and a bed and breakfast inn called The Ladysmith. An insider says that Miranda and Blake agreed that they don’t want their divorce to affect the small business owners in their town.

“The businesses will continue. They don’t want to see any of the local business get hurt.”

According to court records obtained by the Oklahoman, Shelton was the one who filed for divorce on July 6. A judge finalized their divorce on Monday, July 20. Shelton’s request for a divorce included just the couple’s initials and was hid from public view until recently.

On Monday, Blake and Miranda released a statement via the Associated Press.

“This is not the future we envisioned and it with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

Although the couple announced that their hectic schedules are the reason behind their divorce, sources allegedly close to Shelton claim that Lambert’s alleged cheating ways is the real reason they have decided to split. Lambert has been linked to country singer Chris Young, and another man who’s not in the music industry.

If it turns out the cheating rumors are true, it could have an effect on Miranda Lambert’s successful career. She’s become of country music’s top female artists due to her best-selling album and countless country music awards.

Since she’s so successful, Miranda has been traveling on her concert tour. The singer recently performed in a sold-out show at Nashville’s Music City. Miranda’s intimate concert featured her playing acoustic versions of her songs and guest performances by The Voice contestant RaeLynn, along with Clare Dunn, Courtney Cole, and songwriters Natalie Hemby and Jessi Alexander.
