Rihanna And Mike Will Made-It Team Up For New Track ‘Nothing’s Promised,’ Fans Eager For ‘R8’ Release

Rihanna may be keeping fans waiting for the release of her eighth studio album, but that doesn’t mean Rih can’t tease some of her new tracks along the way.

Rihanna has already dropped several rumored R8 songs this year, including “FourFiveSeconds,” “American Oxygen,” and most recently, “B**ch Better Have My Money,” in addition to teasing tracks like “Only If For A Night” and “Higher” on social media.

Now, fans are getting another glimpse into what they can expect for R8‘s highly anticipated release thanks to producer Mike Will Made-It, who took to Twitter to share a snippet of a new track featuring Rihanna’s vocals, MTV reports.

The tweet teases a new song seemingly called “Nothing’s Promised,” in which Rihanna sings, “Ain’t none of this s*** promised / Ain’t none of it promised / Ain’t none of this s*** certain / Ain’t none of it certain.”

“New *fire emoji* w @Rihanna OTW!” the producer wrote to eager fans on Twitter, tagging the post with “#NothingsPromised” as a possible hint to the title of the track.

Rihanna and Mike Will Made-It have previously collaborated on her track “Pour It Up” from her 2012 album, Unapologetic. The producer has also worked alongside stars like Miley Cyrus, Lil Wayne, and Rae Sremmurd, Fuse TV reports.

While Rihanna has remained mum about what fans can expect from R8, the songstress did get candid with MTV in March about the direction of the new project.

“I’ve made a lot of songs that are really, really big songs. From the jump, they just blow up. And I wanted to kind of get back to–not that they weren’t real music, but I just wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever.”

Rihanna also admits that she wanted her eighth album to be her best to date, noting that she wants the songs off of R8 to be ones that she can perform for years to come.

“I wanted songs that I could perform in 15 years; I wanted an album that I could perform in 15 years. Not any songs that were burnt out. I find that when I get on stage now, I don’t want to perform a lot of my songs. They don’t feel like me. so I want to make songs that are timeless.”

Currently, Rihanna is still riding the success from the music video for her track “BBHMM” that released earlier this month, with fans showering Rihanna in praise for her daring video.

In addition, Rihanna is nominated for a VMA for her work in “American Oxygen” in the category “Video With A Social Message,” Entertainment Weekly reports.

As Rihanna continues to tease her new music on social media, what do you think can we expect from her R8 album?
