Rita Ora Calls It Quits On Relationship With Boyfriend Ricky Hil

Rita Ora and Ricky Hil are over, E! Online is reporting.

Ora, the 24-year-old singer and actress who is also a judge on the U.K. edition of Simon Cowell’s X Factor, had been dating for the past year or so, but according to an unnamed source close to the couple, they’ve called it quits. The source says it was a mutual decision.

For her part, Rita’s been focusing on more on her career and less on dating distractions of late, according to the Daily Mail. The “Black Widow” singer was back at work on The X Factor Sunday, joining judges Nick Grimshaw, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, and Simon Cowell for another round of auditions in London.

So what was the reason for Rita Ora’s split from her most recent main man? E! Online suggests jealousy may be playing a role — before hooking up with Ricky Hil, Rita had been linked with musician Calvin Harris for a year or so between 2013 and 2014, but Calvin called it off. These days, Calvin and Taylor Swift are a thing, according to this Inquisitr report, and Rita may be jealous (although she denies it).

“I’m not going to have that first instinct of jealousy vibe. It was a period of my life that I will value forever. But some things are just not meant to be. I don’t want to make this just about him. Musically, it was an amazing experiment and let’s just leave it at that. I would rather it had been private. But I’m not private and nor is my job.”

The real reason for the Rita/Ricky split probably had more to do with distance, a source tells the Daily Mail.

“They’ve been on and off for a while. He’s based in LA and she’s based in London. Now that she’s doing The X Factor and has her new album here, she will be here for the rest of the year. But he has commitments to his music career and fashion line overseas, too.”

Still, they hope to stay friends.

“They both tried to make it work but their work schedules made it difficult. It has been an amicable split and they remain friends.”

Ricky Hil, the son of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger (Ricky’s real name is Ricky Hilfiger), seems to have moved on from Rita Ora. The 25-year-old aspiring hip-hop artist was spotted out & about in West Hollywood over the weekend, hitting the clubs with an unidentified woman.

As of this post, neither Rita Ora nor Ricky Hil have commented publicly on their split.
