Jaime King Welcomes Baby Boy: Is Taylor Swift Godmother? [Video]
Jaime King had a new baby last week – a boy, Jaime announced via Instagram July 20th. And you won’t believe who the godmother is to Baby Boy King!
Jaime announced Taylor Swift is the baby’s godmother, reports Us. The little boy has yet to be named, but his famous godmother will certainly help with that!

“I always knew she was going to be the godmother if I had another baby,” Jaime King dished to Elle magazine about Taylor. “[It’s] a very sacred and important thing in our family…We try and choose people who we know would raise our child the way that we would raise our child, and her thoughtfulness, her kindness, her authenticity…is so powerful to me. She’s so uninhibited in her giving…It’s just beyond.”
Jaime King shared the happy news about her baby by uploading a pic of herself nursing the newborn – her husband, Kyle Newman, and their eldest child, 21-month-old James Knight are seated next to her, reports Us. James’ godmother is actress Jessica Alba.

“We are SO happy to welcome to the world our new baby boy!” King captioned the snap. “Born Thursday, July 16th! Xx.”
Jaime King and her husband let the world know about their second pregnancy in February, reports E! News, when the couple shared an adorable photo on Instagram of her son blowing bubbles with a sign that reads, “I’m gonna be a big brother! Who da boss now I’m so excited!!!!!”
King later revealed that she chose Taylor Swift as the baby’s godmother. Jaime King and Taylor have been best friends for a while, and Taylor even threw Jaime a massive baby shower in June, which had “a photo booth, fun costumes, and one very star-studded guest list” reports Us. The list of guests celebrating Jaime’s pregnancy included Swift’s gal pal crew: Jessica Alba, Gigi Hadid, Nina Dobrev, Hailee Steinfeld, Sarah Hyland, and Emma Roberts.
“How can I put this into words,” Jaime King captioned an Instagram snap from the baby shower. “@taylorswift is not only going to be an exquisite Godmother but one of the best friends one could ask for. Thank you Tay for throwing me such an insanely beautiful baby shower. Less then 12 hours after performing for 100k strong. I love you SO MUCH xx.”
“I know that [our baby] will always have a very good person and role model through her,” Jaime King told E! News about the decision.
