Sweeper Babe: Beautiful Brazilian Street Cleaner Offered Modeling Role After Becoming Online Sensation
Rita Mattos, 23, has been inundated with modeling offers after pictures of her working in her profession turned her into an online sensation. The most peculiar angle on this story is that Mattos works as a street cleaner in Brazil.

Because of this attention, Mattos, who works in Rio De Janeiro as a street cleaner, has already been hired by an agent. She has even acquired the nickname Sweeper Babe because of the images, which started to do the rounds on Brazilian WhatsApp last week.
But despite the attention that has come her way for her good looks, Mattos has tried to downplay the exposure, even though it’s set to increase her monthly wage of $600 for her profession exponentially.
In fact, during an interview with Brazil’s Extra newspaper, via the Daily Mail, Mattos stated, “People are surprised when they see a pretty girl working as a street cleaner. They say I could find a better job than sweeping and weeding. But why should street cleaners, necessarily be ugly? There is a prejudice against them. I’m very proud of what I do. Apart from working very hard, I have a lot of fun too.”
Currently, Mattos wakes up at 4:20 a.m. every day, before she then embarks on her 12-hour shifts. She has been in this profession since March, 2014. In this work, Mattos, who has been dating a street cleaner for the last seven years, unblocks drains and cleans streets. However, from the sound of things, Mattos is already considering different options, because she has also admitted that she would pose naked for the right offer.
Mattos admitted that at first she thought all of this exposure was a joke, but she now understands that most of the messages have been sincere, and she is hoping that she can now begin career as a model. She added, “I’ve always dreamed of being a model, but I also don’t want to build up my hopes.”
