‘Trainwreck’ Opens Huge, Celebs Show Their Love For The Raunchy Comedy On Twitter, Plus John Cena Talks Getting Naked With Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer rocked the box office over the weekend with her newest film, Trainwreck. The raunchy comedy was such a big hit that other celebrities have taken to Twitter to show their approval of the new movie.

Seth McFarlane tweeted on Friday, “Everybody get off your a**es and go see Trainwreck this weekend starring my pal the hilarious and brilliant @amyschumer!”

Lena Dunham, from Girls, wrote earlier today, “I love you Amy. Or should I call you BOX OFFICE GOLD.”

At the same time, Selena Gomez was treated to an early showing of the movie, and tweeted a photo of herself in a screening room with the caption: “When you HAVE to see Trainwreck before it comes out… @amyschumer teach me your ways please. Go. See. This. Movie.”

Schumer responded to Gomez’s message with a tweet of her own. “@selenagomez Thank you so much girl! Wow! Is that in your house? Teach me your ways!” she wrote.

Amid all the celebrity tweets, Jerry Seinfeld also shared some of his thoughts after seeing the movie. “Couldn’t love Trainwreck more,” the comedian wrote. “@amyschumer too good to live. Maybe the most opposite of the title movies ever made. @iamcolinquinn great.”

Along with all the love the main cast members are getting from their friends in Hollywood, the film was a first major guest role for professional wrestler John Cena. Cena plays Schumer’s boyfriend in the movie, named Steven, who has aspirations to create a workout program.

Director Judd Apatow told Entertain This! that Cena was cast for the role because they needed someone who was in shape. “What kind of boyfriend could she be awful to where the audience wouldn’t be very mad at Amy?” he stated. “We thought, maybe [we just get someone who’s] in incredible shape.”

Schumer added that most of Cena’s lines were made up on the spot. “I did not write most of his lines,” Schumer revealed. “John Cena, he blew our minds.”

Meanwhile, one of the more memorable scenes with the wrestler involved him stripping down to a sock. “I had to do a sex scene, which involved me being almost all the way naked,” Cena explained during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

While fans may have wondered about the whole sock scene, Cena assured everyone that he was given a special prop to fill out the scene. “I had to stuff myself in a small nylon sock, and they gave me a stunt penis to insinuate an erection,” he stated.
